This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on https://chenbachar.art (the “Site”), what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others collect statistics or enable content from other companies. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, are covered by this Policy as well.

2. Who sets cookies on the Site

  • The Site itself (chenbachar.art), operated by Chen Haim Bachar, Karnaf Studio.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and YouTube), only after your consent.
  • Meta (Instagram and Facebook embeds), only after your consent.

3. How consent works

When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner (Complianz) lets you Accept all cookies, Reject all optional cookies, or choose categories individually. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you make a choice.

  • Google Analytics is loaded only if you accept statistics cookies.
  • YouTube videos and Instagram/Facebook feeds are loaded only if you accept marketing/social cookies. Until then you see a placeholder instead of the embed.
  • Your choice is stored in a consent cookie so that the banner does not reappear on every page.

4. Cookie categories

4.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the Site to function and for security. They do not require consent.

4.2 Statistics

Set only after you accept statistics cookies.

Google Analytics helps us see which artworks and lessons are viewed most. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use analytics data to identify you.

4.3 Marketing / social media

Set only after you accept marketing/social cookies. These cookies are placed by Google and Meta, not by us, and are governed by their own policies.

The share buttons on the Site (Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Pinterest, email, copy link) are plain links. They set no cookies and send no data until you click them.

5. How to change your consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:

  1. Click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. The consent banner reopens and you can change your choices per category.
  2. Delete the Site’s cookies in your browser. The banner will appear again on your next visit.

Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies that were set before withdrawal; you can delete those in your browser.

6. Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies, either for all sites or for specific ones. Instructions are usually found under “Privacy” or “Security” in the browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent forms or the consent banner from working.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google’s browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

8. Your rights

Rights regarding personal data collected through cookies, and how to exercise them, are described in our Privacy Policy. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority or, if you are in the EU/EEA, to your local supervisory authority.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy when we add or remove cookies or services. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
