These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the website https://chenbachar.art (the “Site”). Please read them before using the Site. By browsing the Site, submitting a form or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who operates the Site
The Site is the personal art portfolio of the painter Chen Haim Bachar (Israel). It is owned and operated by Chen Haim Bachar, Karnaf Studio (the “Artist”, “we”, “us”).

2. Purpose of the Site
The Site presents the Artist’s work, including paintings, drawings, digital art and crafts, together with painting-lesson videos, an “inquire about this artwork” form, a general contact form, a newsletter signup and embedded social-media feeds.
The Site does not sell anything directly. No payment is collected on the Site.
3. Purchases and inquiries
- Prints are sold through the Artist’s Etsy shop, which is an external service with its own terms, prices, shipping and return policies. Any purchase made on Etsy is governed by Etsy’s terms, not these Terms.
- Inquiries about original artworks, commissions or prints submitted through the Site are handled personally by email or phone. Submitting an inquiry does not create a binding agreement; any sale is concluded only when the Artist and the buyer agree in writing on the work, the price and the delivery terms.
- Availability, prices and descriptions shown on the Site are informational and may change without notice.
4. Copyright and intellectual property
All artworks, images, videos, texts, logos and other content on the Site are the copyright of Chen Haim Bachar, unless stated otherwise. This includes original artworks, reproductions and prints.
You may not copy, download, reproduce, print, distribute, modify, publicly display, sell or create derivative works from any content on the Site without the Artist’s prior written permission. Purchasing an original artwork or a print gives you ownership of the physical item only; copyright remains with the Artist.
You may share links to pages of the Site, including through the share buttons provided, provided the content is not altered and the Artist is credited.
5. Permitted use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. In particular you agree not to:
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to collect content or images from the Site.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its server or any related systems.
- Submit false, misleading, abusive or unlawful information through the forms.
- Interfere with the security or normal operation of the Site.
We may block access to the Site for anyone who breaches these Terms.
6. Forms and newsletter
- The contact and inquiry forms are intended for genuine messages to the Artist. We reply by email or phone to the details you provide.
- The newsletter uses double opt-in: after signing up you will receive a confirmation email and will only be subscribed after clicking the confirmation link. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Newsletter emails are sent in accordance with the anti-spam provisions of the Israeli Communications Law (Amendment 40).

7. Videos and painting lessons
Painting-lesson videos are embedded from YouTube (using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie domain). The lessons are provided for personal learning and enjoyment. You may follow the techniques shown, but you may not download, re-upload or redistribute the videos.
8. Third-party services and links
The Site includes content and links from third parties, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook (Meta), Etsy, and the share buttons for Facebook, WhatsApp, X, Telegram, Pinterest and email. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. Social-media embeds load only after you give consent in the cookie banner.
9. No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Site accurate and running, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or free of viruses, or that colours and dimensions shown on screen match the physical artworks exactly.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Artist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the Site or any third-party service linked from it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain what personal data we collect, why, and how you can exercise your rights. They form part of these Terms.
12. Age
The Site is not directed at children under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit forms or subscribe to the newsletter without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or from use of the Site, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence.
